Your weekly Crap round up!

Creepy Tooth Thing from a KC Goodwill is the only one who understands me.

For decades, the words “round up” have been the official American term for that first meeting of kids, parents, and public-school teachers: The kindergarten round up, with the words usually in that ropey ol’ fake-lasso handwriting. But no more! From now until time shudders to a stop, “round up” shall also apply to weekly summations of Alan Scherstuhl’s online Crap archiving and other whatnot!

This week I spewed forth:

Studies in Crap: “‘We must always be on guard against fire'” & other phrases you probably won’t need on your trip to Korea,” at the Kansas City Pitch and the Village Voice.

Yes, that Village Voice.

Also, the print edition of the Pitch ran a K.C. exclusive: a look at the nurse-hounding, slur-tossing doctors-to-be I discovered in The Scalpel, a 1909 yearbook from a for-profit Kansas City medical school. To nobody’s surprise, I worked in some mean stuff about the belief that American healthcare should be an unregulated free market.

Now, please ignore me while I type my name over and over because media experts at USC said blogs like this one should be the first thing people get when they Google you.
